Top US and Russian officials met in Saudi Arabia on Tuesday for talks on improving ties and negotiating an end to the war in Ukraine. This is a “dream in the making” for President Vladimir Putin, FRANCE 24’s Douglas Herbert said in an analysis, citing President Donald Trump’s apparent willingness to negotiate with Moscow. “For Russia, this is about basically rewriting the security architecture of the world”, he added.
