In the wake of Israel’s decision to halt Doctors Without Borders (MSF) operations in Gaza, concern is mounting over the escalating humanitarian crisis. Dr. Ghassan Abu-Sittah, a British-Palestinian surgeon who has worked with MSF extensively in the region, called the decision “absolutely devastating” for civilians. In a stark warning, he said the termination of MSF’s work would further cripple Gaza’s collapsing health system, accusing Israel of “destroying the health system inside Gaza as a way of making Gaza uninhabitable.”
