Alison Sargent is pleased to welcome Kurdish analyst and humanitarian activist Arya Jemo. Mr. Jemo expresses the sense of abandonment by the international community as Kobani remains under siege without water or electricity. He places the Kurdish community’s perspective within a broader context of historical struggle, distrust of central authorities, and fear of extremist domination. He argues that the Druze, the Alawite, the Christian and the Kurds are "all aligned in the same position: We do not trust these groups that rule Syria.”
