NATO chief Mark Rutte hit back at Vladimir Putin's hawkish comments on Wednesday, saying the alliance is 'ready to do what it takes' to protect Europe. Speaking on FRANCE 24, Peter Zalmayev, Founder and Director of the Eurasia Democracy Initiative, says that Putin has 'something to back his confidence with' based on the absence of an international response to the repeated violations of NATO airspace.
