Polls closed in Georgia on Saturday in an election where voters were given a stark choice between two competing visions for the country: a pro-Western opposition alliance with aspirations for EU membership and the ruling Georgian Dream party that has steered Georgian politics towards a Russian social model. Both camps claimed victory in rival exit polls. Preliminary results are expected late Saturday.
