Liver cancer cases could surge to 1.52 million annually by 2050 from 870,000 if trends continue, a Lancet study warned Tuesday. Obesity, alcohol, and hepatitis are key drivers of the disease – the sixth most common cancer globally, according to Global Cancer Observatory data. Prevention efforts are urged to curb the rise.
