Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi travels to China this weekend for his first visit in seven years, joining Chinese President Xi Jinping and Russian President Vladimir Putin at a regional security summit in Tianjin. The trip comes amid strained relations with Washington, just days after the US doubled tariffs on Indian exports to 50% in response to New Delhi’s continued purchases of Russian oil.
