France marks Armistice Day, the end of WWI. This year, the ceremony also commemorates the centenary of the French Cornflower. An urn topped with a cornflower, containing soil taken from 16 of the 139 First World War burial and memorial sites, will be symbolically placed on the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier beneath the Arc de Triomphe.
