The Israeli army said Wednesday it struck 40 Hezbollah targets in southern Lebanon while Israeli Defence Minister Yoav Gallant said that these strikes had killed half of Hezbollah's commanders there as near-daily exchanges of fire rage on the border between the two countries. The announcements came after Israeli's foreign minister thanked the US Senate for approving $13 billion in military aid as part of its 26 billion in wartime assistance to Israel and humanitarian relief to citizens of Gaza.
